Welcome to Psychodrama NSW
What is
Psychodrama?

Psychodrama is a group action method created by J.L. Moreno (1889-1974) which uses directed dramatic techniques to explore and resolve issues raised by participants.

It is applicable to a variety of professional settings including education, organisations, management, health, community development, coaching and therapy. This approach is highly effective in assisting individuals and groups to take charge of their lives.

Trainees learn by "doing" in an experiential environment which encourages and supports taking risks and making "mistakes". These are seen as excellent learning opportunities.

About Us
Psychodrama NSW is an amalgamation of The Sydney School of Psychodrama with The Psychodrama Training Institute of NSW. We are one of ten training institutes accredited by the Board of Examiners of the Australian and New Zealand Psychodrama Association to conduct fully accredited training in psychodrama, sociodrama, sociometry, and role training. A copy of the Training and Standards Manual of the Board which sets out in detail the requirements for certification by the Board is available from Psychodrama NSW.
